OOPS
"Oops" I did it again", is a Brittany Spears song lyric. But, it also is the mantra of every fallen athlete, politician, and celebrity in the world. Is there no consequence for the immoral conduct of the people who claim to embrace the oral holier-than-thou high ground? Mark Foley, Jesse Jackson, Darryl Strawberry, Rae Carruth Bill Cosby, Dr.J, Mark Chumura, Michael Richards, Mel Gibson , Brittany Spears and Dr. Laura, Alec Baldwin as well as many more say, "I know I made a mistake, but my family and the Lord have forgiven me." It seems, as long you say, "Yes, I did drugs.", or "Yes, I cheated on my wife.", and "Yes, I raped her." I shouldn't have chased young boys, I should've made those racist remakes..., "Am I so sorry.", it's alright. Is anybody held to standards? Or, are the standards too high? Please don't invoke the name of the Lord everytime "You" fall off your moral high horse! Doesn't God ever show up before you sniff the coke, before you rape her, before you have the orgasm? Before you send porno e-mails... Every celebrity (athlete, entertainer, politician etc., etc..) gets up at a press conference and says, "I'm embarassed for my family, my friends, and all of you who've believed in me...(until the next time)... "OOPS I DID IT AGAIN!!!".
