I would always chuckle when I heard about a Northern Ireland Peace Accord, or one of the many Isreali-Palestinan treaties, or cease fires. I knew that in a week or so later, all bets would be off. Both sides, blaming each other, and it would never end. But then, September Eleventh happened. America was then put into the same dark pit as the aforementioned situations, along with the Russian-Chechnya, Bosnia, and the Sudan. The "Herpes Conflict". These are places that will be at conflict "forever" and there is no cure. And, you'll never know when it's going to break out. Americans are used to a resolve... "Dessert Storm", WW Two, Timothy McVeigh, and, oh yes, O.J.Simpson. But there will be no resolve. What the "extremist fundementalist" Islamic have successed in doing is, making the citizens of this country "Punxatawney Americans", afraid of their own shadows...and rightfully so. Terror is now part of the American lifestyle and we are going to have to get used to being terrorized. These people will never surrender. They'll never be a ceremony on the deck of the Missouri. There will be no homecoming parade. This is forever...
