Imus Isn't the Problem
Don Imus is the Grand Daddy of shock jocks... Mancow, Opie, and Anthony, Howard Stern, and many others... His comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team, was a shock jock morning show comment... some thought it was funny... others didn't ... But the race police ( Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton) were out that day and they pounced...an incident that no one would've ever noticed... has become a national event... Imus is a shock jock ... shock jocks ... " Shock"... was there intent to attack the Black race, Women, to attack the achievements of the Women's basketball team... NO...you're giving Imus too much credit for that ...Are these Shock Jocks racist and sexist... no ...they're shock jocks...This is what morning shock jocks do...are we going to get rid of Shock Jocks...no... Roaches and Shock Jocks will be with us forever... But the race police has made this a bigger issue than Iraq... The Rutgers, women's basketball team has heard much worse language by opposing fans... They have the same language on their IPOD's they walked into the press conference with... the language they heard is being played on Urban radio stations around the country everyday...If the language that Imus used offends you ... then sell your 401 k's because major corporations like Time-Warner, Viacom, and others ... support it...cause they support and make lotsa money off artists like Snoop Dogg, 50 cent, and others...turn on " Def Jam"- HBO, The Big Black Comedy Show on Showtime... Or BET's Comic's View... and listen to the language... you'll be begging for Imus... The P.C. and Race police only play to one side of the issue...the side of the issue that works for them... and everyone is afraid to challenge them cause they'll be called racist...But when it comes to the Duke Lacrosse team being cleared of charges you don't hear from the Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons of the world... When the story first broke they were all over it... claiming these white boys of Privilege couldn't just take advantage of these " Innocent" Black women...even "60 Minutes" was suckered into doing a piece on the case, the race police and it's leaders were claiming how racist the North Carolina Community was...Where are they now... How about an apology to the team wo has endured much more than the people in this case...I'm not a " Shock Jock " fan...and yes Imus is going to take the fall for this...and he's going to be the face of radio racism... But let's look at the Kettle whose calling the pot black...
